A tasting menu is arguably the best way to discover a restaurant’s philosophy. Course by course, chefs lay their hearts bare through a parade of plates, inviting diners on a culinary journey that meanders through memories. Jun’s celebrates its Third Culture Cooking approach in a seven-course tasting menu comprising both signature dishes and brand-new creations inspired by Chef Kelvin Cheung’s heritage, childhood and extensive travels.

The experience, dubbed The Short Story, spans flavours from Asia to North America and the Middle East, flipping familiar favourites with culture-clashing ingredients. Lobster Pani Puri, Hot and Sour Wonton Soup, and Wagyu Steak with Handmade Noodles are menu highlights, with an entirely vegetarian alternative available, too.
Chef Cheung introduced Third Culture Cooking to the city in 2022, combining bold international flavours with Cantonese roots. In the flurry that has followed, Jun’s has earned recognition from Michelin, Gault&Millau and World’s 50 Best, and continues to win over hearts (and stomachs) one flavour-packed bite at a time. The restaurant itself, located on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, is equally bold with natural materials setting the mood and a throwback soundtrack providing plenty of ambiance.

In addition to The Short Story, Jun’s offers a 13-course tasting menu, as well as à la carte dining, a business lunch and a weekend set menu. The restaurant is also home to 852, a pop-up bakery with innovative breakfast bagels and personal portions of Chef Cheung’s best-selling cakes. The Short Story: Volume 3 is Dhs255 per person and available daily. Jun’s, Downtown Dubai. Book now
