Chanel To Restage Its Cruise 2026 Show In Singapore

May 15, 2025 | 3 min read

One thing is certain: come November, Singapore will be the stage for something spectacular

Chanel is heading East. The French fashion House has confirmed that it will reprise its Cruise 2026 show in Singapore this November, in what is shaping-up to be one of the most significant fashion moments in Asia this year.

The runway presentation will take place on 4 November, though the location remains a closely guarded secret. The announcement comes just a fortnight after Chanel debuted the collection at Lake Como’s fabled Villa d’Este - a backdrop steeped in Old World romance, cinematic beauty and quiet opulence.

Now, the same collection will travel from the shores of northern Italy to the tropical metropolis of Singapore in a move that reflects not only Chanel’s global ambition but also the city-state’s growing relevance on the international fashion map.

This isn’t Chanel’s first foray into Southeast Asia. In 2013, the House staged a Cruise show in Singapore at Dempsey Hill, a leafy enclave of colonial buildings and former military barracks. But such events remain rare and when Chanel returns, it does so with intent.

The Cruise 2026 collection, designed by the in-house creative team, is a study in ease and escapism. Think: crisp tailoring, sweeping maxis, oversized accessories and the sort of glamour that nods to 1970s Hollywood with a distinctly Chanel twist. Crochet sets and airy fabrics speak to a life lived poolside, with a beverage in hand and a clear schedule.

The collection also suits a tropical climate. Cruise, by its very nature, was born from the needs of sun-chasing clients escaping European winters, and Singapore is no stranger to heat.

But beyond weather and wardrobe, this restaging is part of something larger: an ongoing effort by Chanel to invest in its top global markets, and to do so in a way that still feels personal, immersive and rarefied.

Unlike the main fashion weeks in Paris, Milan or New York, often dominated by crowds, cameras and chaos, Chanel’s travelling Cruise shows are carefully curated experiences. Designed to reflect not just the clothes, but the culture and craftsmanship behind them, they offer clients a glimpse into the inner sanctum of the brand: the artisans,  ateliers, and artistry.
