Boucheron debuts a love letter to the UAE through a series of in-store activations that highlight Emirati craftsmanship and tradition while simultaneously celebrating the Maison’s 20-year relationship with the UAE. Emirati artist Hussain AlMoossawi shares his photographs of Dubai’s residential façades, transforming them into postcards as symbols of belonging and connection; guests are invited to hand-write messages to their loved ones. The activations also include a pop-up café by Inner Child, the unveiling of a signature fragrance by Arcadia by Amna, and a meaningful workshop where children can learn the art of gilding in homage to both the region and the Maison’s savoir-faire. Art Dubai officially opens its doors on 15 May, welcoming guests for a special edition that commemorates the fair’s 20th anniversary. The anniversary edition is not only history-making because of its milestone, but because it celebrates the region and the community that it has built along the way through collaborations with regional artists, creative hubs and galleries – think Alserkal Avenue, The Barjeel Art Foundation and Art Jameel. “It will be an intimate yet expansive experience, driven at every level by the galleries, institutions and audiences who have grown alongside the fair,” Dunja Gottweis, fair director of Art Dubai tells MOJEH.
