With modern travellers searching for mindful meals and meaningful experiences, MOJEH rounds-up the destinations where foraging and fresh produce take centre stage

While we all know that food can make or break a holiday, today’s travellers want more than just a good restaurant at their hotel, with foraging, produce-led cooking and hyper-local ingredients becoming a defining feature of nature-led travel. And while farm-to-table dining is nothing new, an increasing number of hotels are going further, be it inviting guests to join chefs to hunt for truffles, gathering wild herbs in nearby forests or learning how produce is grown on-site. Travellers can even harvest and cook alongside chefs for an even more delicious way to discover how local ingredients shape the flavours of a region, with the landscape quite literally becoming part of the menu.

Sibbjäns, Sweden

Sweden, farm-to-table

Sweden’s first boutique farm stay opened its doors in May 2026 on the sunshine island of Gotland, boasting 22 individually-designed rooms, a natural pool and new wellness activities including a Nordic sauna and outdoor gym. At its heart is a working farm: home to hens, Mangalitza pigs, horses and sheep, agriculture guides both the kitchen and the guest experience — produce is grown on-site and harvested seasonally, forming the backbone of a true farm-to-fork approach.
