On 4 May, the annual Met Gala fundraiser takes over The Metropolitan Museum of Art for a night of spectacular fashion in support of The Costume Institute. The 2026 Met Gala commemorated the opening of the Costume Art exhibition and called on attendees to adhere to a Fashion is Art dress code, encouraging them to interpret the interplay between fashion and fine art, and the role of the body as the canvas. While women dominated the carpet in gowns galore, the evening’s male attendees commanded just as much attention with impeccable tailoring and playful takes on the theme.
Bad Bunny channeled Benjamin Button for his Met Gala look, ageing himself with prosthetics and teaming his interesting approach with a Zara suit he designed himself. Elsewhere, Simon Porte Jacquemus opted for clean and classic with an all-white look from his eponymous label; Adrian Brody went punk rock in leather trousers; and Karan Johar embodied the art theme with a Manish Malhotra ensemble embroidered with artwork.
