First came pilates, then came barre, and now, workouts powered by infrared heat technology. With a growing variety of fitness options available in the region, finding a routine that suits your body and lifestyle has never been easier. In conversation with Hebah and Kiki Fasciolo, founders of the region’s first infra-heated Pilates, barre and reformer studio, BRRN Barre, MOJEH learns the benefits of working out in the heat.
“A hot barre class is a low-impact, full-body workout,” explains Kiki Fasciolo. “It’s derived from ballet and it’s really beneficial when it comes to posture, balance and core stability and it just leaves you feeling energised.” But what are the advantages of adding infrared heat into the mix?
“One of the biggest benefits of training in a heated room is that the heat helps the muscles warm up faster,” Kiki tells MOJEH. “It’s also very beneficial for flexibility, healing the muscles and repairing your body in general.” Learn more about the science behind infrared workouts and whether it is right for you in our latest Wellness Wednesdays episode here.
