On a runway designed to evoke a playground, with multicoloured blocks for seats, Fendi showcased its SS26 collection at the Maison’s newly opened headquarters on Via Solari, 35. The co-ed show had everything from elevated workwear with oversized blazers, co-ords and tote bags to summer staples with sheer fabrics teamed with two-pieces perfect for outside season. Being one of the most anticipated shows at Milan Fashion Week, the crowd’s energy was palpable as every look became a dose of dopamine.

The House creates a wardrobe that caters to every need, with whites, shades of grey, and browns later giving way to the Barbie pink that dominated the collection. There were ruffles, panels and sheer fabrics leaning into the feminine while sporty jackets appropriate for the androgynous dresser also found its stage. Florals were welcome with blooms appearing in cutout forms and bag charms, giving spring its signature (groundbreaking) allure throughout the collection.

When it came to accessories, the runway saw beaded bags that added a touch of cool to every outfit, coming in all sizes, from mini bags to large totes and everything in between. Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, and in perfect harmony with Marc Newson’s set design, the collection stayed true to House codes while bringing a splash of colour. Rewatch the show here.
