For his second act, the House travels to Rome on 2 December 2026, to celebrate Gabrielle Chanel’s love affair with the Eternal City. And if Blazy’s previous work is any indication, the next Métiers d’Art runway will be abundant in references, too.
Gabrielle Chanel first discovered Italy in the summer of 1920, returning frequently throughout her life. From Renaissance paintings to the golden age of Italian cinema, the country’s culture became a part of the Maison’s aesthetic. While the Cruise 2025 show at Lake Como proved that Italy is familiar territory for Chanel, this upcoming presentation marks Blazy’s first time bringing the House to Rome. Through this off-season collection steeped in savoir-faire, the creative director prepares to rekindle a relationship with the city’s storied streets.
Unique to the House, the Métiers d’Art collections are a tribute to the craftsmanship of the Maisons d’Art since 2002. The forthcoming collection will serve as a sort of homecoming, honouring the past while cementing Chanel’s modern presence in the heart of Italy.
