Cartier certainly knows how to celebrate. The Maison hosted a two-day immersive experience in Büyükada, Türkiye to celebrate the Into The Wild collection, inviting international celebrities, press and tastemakers to go behind the scenes of its universe. Among the attendees were Tara Emad, Razane Jammal, Ahmed Malek, Tuba Büyüküstün, Bader Kabbani, Anas Bukhash, Nadine Labaki and Yousra, who gave a performance on the final evening.
Büyükada Island is the largest of the Prince’s Islands and is a short jaunt from the shores of Istanbul. Its postcard-worthy scenery has long served as inspiration for artists and creatives and is therefore a fitting destination for a Maison deeply inspired by the natural world.
Cartier’s ode to Mother Nature began in 1914 with the Panthère. A symbol of strength, elegance and ferocity, it defined the Maison’s early pieces and became an emblem of the House. Then came the tiger, zebra, flamingo and crocodile, each representing a power and vivacity of their own. Into The Wild harmonises Cartier’s creatures into one collection, bringing them to life through precious stones and unrivalled craftsmanship.
Attendees explored the savoir-faire behind Into The Wild with workshops led by regional artisans, offering a deeper understanding of the precious métiers d’art celebrated by the Maison. From mosaic and marbling to palm leaf marquetry, they discovered how familiar materials can transform into unexpected expressions through creativity and mastery of technique.
Elsewhere, an exhibition by the same artisans brought these crafts to life through works spanning mosaic, paper, marbling, glass and khoos marquetry, revealing the richness and diversity of regional craftsmanship.
The event culminated in a soirée that showcased the pieces in an extraordinary open-air gallery, inviting guests to meander through the Maison’s heritage and discover the collection in all its magnificence. See more
