Watches And Wonders 2026: Bvlgari Unveils The Serpenti Aeterna In Vivid Colours

The serpent blooms

At only its second-ever appearance at Watches and Wonders Geneva, Bvlgari unveils a significant evolution of its icons, most notably the launch of a revolutionary 37mm Octo Finissimo powered by the new in-house BVF 100 movement, and the record-breaking Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon now rendered in platinum.

This year marks a House first as Bvlgari integrates major jewellery launches into the fair, exploring a bold gold-and-steel aesthetic through new B.zero1 rings and the edgy Serpenti Tubogas Studs capsule. Furthermore, Bvlgari bridges heritage and technology by launching its Digital Passport: an encrypted 2D Datamatrix providing immutable transparency and authenticity for every timepiece.

Yet, amidst these boundary-pushing technical and digital feats, the true aesthetic highlight of the Watches and Wonders novelties remains the continued metamorphosis of its most magnetic icon, the Serpenti.

Serpenti Aeterna
The new Serpenti Aeterna is kitted-out with a kaleidoscope of gemstones – rubellite, amethyst, emerald, Paraíba tourmaline, and more

In a hypnotic flourish of colour and contour, Bvlgari once again pushes the Serpenti forward, building on the new legacy that began just last year with the launch of the Serpenti Aeterna. A reimagination of its most iconic emblem, this gem-set watch pulses with unapologetic joie de vivre, and this year sees its sinuous form entirely pavé-set with a kaleidoscope of gemstones – rubellite, amethyst, emerald, Paraíba tourmaline, and more – each cut and placed to create a rhythm of light that feels both spontaneous and exquisitely controlled. The silhouette, traced in white diamonds, frames this chromatic intensity, while the dial itself dissolves into the composition, allowing colour and brilliance to take centre stage in a boldly graphic expression of time.

So how do they do it? Over 400 hours of meticulous craftsmanship, from stone selection to setting, adorn openworked hexagonal scales which invite light to dance freely through the structure, amplifying every facet and hue – but there’s no escaping how the stylised serpent’s head still asserts a modern, almost architectural edge. No matter how colourful the Serpenti Aeterna appears, a snake is still a snake – and at Bvlgari, that means boundless power and possibilities. Learn more
