Fast forward to the 2026 Met Gala and Bhavitha took to the carpet in an almost identical iteration of the ensemble as a callback to the viral moment; in denim-look trousers crafted from ultra-fine silk, with a mocha quarter-zip to match, she demonstrated that elegance needn’t be loud. Though the internet was abuzz with criticism that she was not dressed according to the “Fashion is Art” dress code, the industry argued that the lesson in trompe d’oeil – optical illusion – was the perfect depiction of fashion as an art form.
