The brains behind the Hello Klean shower filter, which promises to reduce the impact of hard water on hair and skin, talks us through her day.
I wake up at… around 7am, naturally. I have a sleep schedule, which means I usually get to bed between 10:30pm and 11pm, so by morning I’m well rested.
My morning routine normally consists of… taking my supplements on an empty stomach. Right now, I’m taking caprylic acid — it’s nature’s antifungal and helps keep my gut microbiome balanced. Then, I drink a big glass of water to rehydrate before jumping in the shower. My skin and scalp are so sensitive so I use my Hello Klean shower head to filter out chlorine, heavy metals and impurities. Finally, I do my skincare, which is simple but hydrating, with PDRN (topical polydeoxyribonucleotides) to help with skin sensitivity, especially when the seasons change. I also say good morning to my cat, Patates, before making coffee!
I decided to start Hello Klean because… wherever I moved — whether it was New York, Dubai or Berlin — I kept running into the same beauty struggles: brittle hair, dry skin and products that didn’t deliver. After years of trial and error, I realised the real issue wasn’t my routine, it was the water. Hard water and chlorine were throwing everything off, and that’s what sparked Hello Klean. I wanted to create science- backed solutions that helped people protect their hair and skin from the effects of harsh water.

I’m responsible for… overseeing product development, marketing, creative direction and brand strategy — the fun stuff! My typical day at work… is always different, which I love. It’s usually a mix of meetings, catching up with the team and brainstorming new ideas.
My go-to working wardrobe consists of… neutrals. If I’m in the office, I keep it casual — trackpants and comfortable fits are my go-to. If I have a meeting I’ll dress up a little more, but I always like clean silhouettes, simple shapes and soft tones.
My go-to beauty look for the 9-5 is… glowy skin, brushed-up brows (I use the Benefit They’re Real Mascara for my brows), a little mascara, blush and lips. I use the Fenty foundation, Rare Beauty concealer, eyeliner, blush and eyeshadow, while for lips it’s a Korean brand called 3CE.
For lunch, I eat… usually a salad, but I’ll mix it up with soup sometimes. We have good snacks in the office, so I usually pick at those as well.
What I love most about my job is… that no two days are the same. I get to work with a great team, and there’s always challenges, which means I’m constantly growing. Plus, I love how creative I get to be.
And what I enjoy the least is... anything that involves Excel. I’m not a numbers girl.

body lotion targets skin damaged by hard water.
When I get home, I… make dinner, which will be something clean and simple like white and black rice with steamed broccoli and scallion chicken. Then I run a bath and relax with an Asian herbal tea that has dates, goji berries and other herbs for a little immunity boost. Then I’ll probably turn on my diffuser and read a book — right now it’s Mythos, a book about Greek myths, or I’ll do some red light therapy or skin acupuncture.
I couldn’t live without… moving to techno music! Movement is important to me — I’ve just started trying calisthenics, which I’m enjoying. But if it’s been a long day? Pasta.
When I feel stressed, I… have to do something with my hands, or something physical to take my mind off the stress. So cooking or tidying, usually. I also practice deep breathing, focusing on feeling the breath in my stomach, which I find really soothing.
If I wasn’t in my current position, I would be… back in school, studying fine arts.
